In a world where so much is available digitally, what is even the point of collecting things like music records? Maybe you are a record collector and you have a strong opinion about the physical forms of music. Maybe you are a casual Spotify listener who doesn’t care as long as you can listen to your favourite artists. Maybe you are someone who would like to get into collecting. As with most collections, there are huge numbers of people interested in this around the world, but it definitely leaves us questioning whether it is even worth it when so much is available over the internet. Spotify is ~$10 a month for a staggering amount of songs — Why would you pay several times that just for one album from one artist?
Here are some interesting stories that I have found this week. With different topics, I am sure you will find something that is new and challenging for you. Why not use this as a chance to learn some new language?
Try to note some new language that you see or hear in the articles or video and bring it to the class.
